Christmas Program

Cache's school had a christmas program a few weeks ago. I felt that it would be a great idea to blog about this for Christmas Eve. The program was probly the best one I have seen. Not because it was my Cache, *( that is a given it would be great )* but the school really did put together a great program. We had our video camera, but the battery's did not hold the charge. We were prepared too. I was real upset. It was so dang cute... the kids were real cute to watch.

sNoW fReAkInG sNoW

Its only the 3rd big storm of the year. I am done with it. This has got to stop... I know I sound like a big baby but, I have snow up to my knees already. This is from the 3 storms.. I cant believe it. My kids love it.. here are a couple of pix of them sledding.. Sledding with cast!!!

Broken wrist

So.. many of you may have heard. Decker broke his wrist.... he was playing and fell. The sad thing is.. We didnt know it was broke. He had a broken wrist for about 3 weeks before I felt it was time to take him to the Dr. I asked Decker how it was doing and he would state it was fine. It didnt swell until Thanksgiving. That is when I started to worry. He tried to turn his wrist to open a door and it hurt him bad. When the pediatrition was reviewing the x-ray's he stated that he could see an old fracture in Deckers wrist.. He stated that he also noticed that Decker is using his wrist very well.. I explained that Decker has a very high pain tolorence. The Dr stated that he would feel better if the head of raidioligist would review the xray.. well sure enough Decker had a break in his wrist. So they put him in a splint.. We had to go back the next day to the orthopedic surgeons office for a complete cast and to make sure it was healing properly... I felt horrible letting him go for so long not knowing he had such a bad injury.. He did get his cast off yesterday and the Dr said it is healing just fine.. I am real glad. It was his left wrist and he is left handed...

1. What is your husband's full name? Christopher Anthony Dog whisperer Quintana... He seriously was called Dog whisperer before the show... We should have coined phrased it.
2. How long have you been married? Do we count in dog years, or seems like, or actual? Seems like 269. The actual years are 16 ( told you this!) dog years is 112. Chris and I joke about the seems like. We really do love each other.
3. How long did you date? Just about 1 year and 6 months.
4. How old is he? Way older than me.... He totally robbed the cradle.
5. Who eats sweets? We both do. I think he might eat them more than I do though.
6. Who said I love you first? Chris did?? I responded with "huh?" I wanted to make sure I heard him correctly...
7. Who is taller? He is.. But I am very close in height in my very tall boots....
8. Who can sing the best? Um I am going to have to say....... neither one of us...
9. Who is smarter? Depends on the topic/subject. I am way smarter about clothes and shopping and kid stuff. He is way smarter on hunting and building stuff.... Get the picture?
10. Who does the laundry? I do my own and the boys' laundry. He does his own. He made the mistake of telling me he would do it, when we first got married. Guess what he is now doing his laundry.. Thank goodness. I can only do so much...
11. Who pay's the bill's? I pay all the out going that need to be mailed or now that we can pay online... I pay them online. Chris handles the rest....
12. Who sleeps on the right side? Chris sleeps on the right side... he is mad about it too.. We have a window just above my side of the bed, in the summer I get a real nice breeze to cool me down..
13. Who mow's the lawn? What is lawn?
14. Who cook's dinner? I do. I dont think he even know's how to boil water.
15. Who drive's? Most of the time Chris does.. I dont usually drive. I like the break
16. Who is first to admit when they are wrong? I am with Mel, I am never wrong so. I guess Chris will have to admit that he is wrong...... ( no wonder I am friends with Mel.. we are always right!!)
17. Who kissed who first? Totally Chris kissed me first. We used to have a joke about this topic. I would tease him about our little detours and his " I know this short cut" always ended up at make out point...
18. Who asked who out first? Chrism who wouldnt ask out a hot babe that likes baseball... After all I met him at his own baseball game.. He played on my bro's team
19. Who wears the pant's? I totally let him think he wears them... I think we are both real respectful of each others opinions. That is how it should be....
20. Who is more sarcastic?? That is totally me... Chris is a bit sarcastic but he is in the way of sarcastic where you dont know it.. I am way to much of a smart a$$ to let that go un-noticed. You know when I am being sarcastic.

16 Years

Friday was a land mark for Chris and I... We have been married for 16 years... Holy cow. I think I was married when I was 10. I am only 26 now so that is right...... I had to have been married at 10 years old. Anyway, I seriously can't belive it, when I say that out loud it doesnt seem real. I know that mariage is tuff and so many people don't even make it past 6 year's. I seriously dont know why? I have never once thought about divorce.. I guess I am lucky though. Chris and I get along very well and when we don't I send him hunting. ( hahahaha)
I love you babe... I hope we have another 16 great years. ( I know we will as long as you keep our vacations coming!!)

Roses

Chris sent me roses. I guess he kind of likes me still. After 16 years. I hope he does. I know I love him still. I miss him very much. He will be home this Saturday. Yea!!!! The boys are so excited...It will be good to have him home again. We are now getting some weather up by my house. Snow has fallen. ( yuck ) I am not ready for this at all. I just am not looking forward to the bitter cold. I dont like that part of winter. Snow is great for Christmas only... It can snow 2 weeks before and melt 1 week after Christmas. I would be just fine with that...

Happy Halloween

Here are some of the cutest kids... The bunny is my niece Cassady, Elizah is Hannah Montana, the little girl is a cousin of my niece's and nephews. Her name is Abby. Batman is my newphew Will. Cache is the hulk holding the puppy, my newphew Luke... They are so cute.

It was such a nice night.. It was not cold at all. A little rainy but for the most part... I think it was a perfect night...The boys and I went to my brother's and sister n law's in layton... We had a good time. Chris is still guiding out of state....

Cousins and Grandmas

My brother Kelly and his wife Joan, came down from Idaho on Saturday night. Me and the boys were so tired from the camp we went home before my bro got there. So we got up Sunday morning and went down to hang out with them. It was so much fun. The kids all played and had a good time. They miss each other so much. I really wished they lived closer. The kids are so good together and they love to play. It was fun to be with Mom and Dad also. Here are a couple of pix. We are missing two of Shanes kids and we are missing Dan's kids and Rachels. But it was fun.... I had one heck of a time getting my boy's loaded up when it was time to go. Not to mention Cody and Zack were trying to keep them and hide them out from me... They would have been just as happy to keep them and take them home with them...

Baseball Camp

Decker had baseball camp this weekend. They had John Buck from Kansas city Royals and Brandon Lyon from the Diamondbacks Brandon Duckworth from the Royals ( he remembered Decker from last year) Mark Teahan from the Royals, Alex Gordan from the Royals and Chris Shelton from Texas Rangers. Although it was very rainy and chilly. We had a good time. Decker said its a good learning experiance.. So I am glad we were able to go. I did get some pix. I couldnt tell you who is who. They were a bit far for me to tell. I will try and guess as we go along... but ( disclaimer, I could be off on the players names. I am very sorry if it is incorrect.) My dad went with us. I think he had a good time. He was a bit bugged when the kids didnt do so well and the players would tell them good job. He thinks ( I agree with my dad. Dont sugar coat it. Get the kids to do it the correct way)

Cache and his bow

Decker gave Cache his bow... ( he is the best big brother ever) So Cache really thinks he is cool shooting his bow... He is pretty good at it. It is fun to see the kids outside with their dad.

Dodge Ball and weaklings

So, Decker has been playing dodgeball with his new school friends... He is told. "Decker dont throw so hard" "Decker throw it soft." Decker decide this is not fun. I cant throw the ball. So he went over to kick ball with his friend.. "Decker when you throw the ball make it go slow and have it bounce it so it comes real soft to us" what is going on with these kids? Do they live in wussy land?? I feel bad. It appears people dont have their kids in sports anymore or they just baby them to no end. Cache could take a hit from Decker.. Its not like he is throwing his fast ball at their heads. So my son, poor kid. Is giving up. Now he and his friend walk around the play ground. Its sad that all the kids can throw the ball and Decker will take it. He is by no means going to tell them if it hurts. He is having fun. But... he cant throw it at them. I told him to save his arm. Dont waste it on the kids at school. Play out field or something. hahaha. Sorry if I offended any of you.. If your kids a wuss time to teach them how to be tuff. They are boys after all.

four ten work week and blogging dont mix

For some reason it has been real hard for me to keep this up... Working four ten's and having sick kids. Dont mix.. It's not that I dont have anything to say. You all know that would never happen. I have plenty to say and plenty of funny stories. I will try to be better. I did get a call from Cache's school. It went like this, "Mrs. Quintana? Did Cache have wholes in his shirt when you dropped him off?" Me " Um... No why?" "Cache said that the mice chewed on his shirt, he has some wholes in it." "How big are they. That has been known to happen. We live in the Mountains and sometimes mice get in and chew on our stuff." "Well, they are pretty big. One is big enough you can stick your head threw it" I start to laugh trying not to. " Did he have scissors?" " We think he had to have had some scissors, anyway. We took them away. He has one of our t-shirts on now" "They were bad enough to change his shirt?" hahaha "Yes"

I pick up Cache later that day. " Cache, What happened to your shirt?" "Mom the mice chewed on it." "Cache how could the mice chew on it when you were wearing it?" " I dont know they made holes in it." I said "Cache. You had to have been the one to put the holes in your shirt. I loved that shirt. Now you dont have that shirt anymore. " "Well Mom, I wanted that rock band t-shirt" ( stiffling a very strong urge to laugh) "Cache, do you want me to take your wallet and get buy you a new shirt just like the one you cut up?" "NO MOM NO. Please dont take my money" "Well you cant cut up your shirts just because you want a new one. You ask ok. Shirts cost money" " Can I get rock band t-shirt?" "No you will just cut it up" .

I guess I will have to find him a "ROCK BAND T_SHIRT" in his size... Funny kid. He really likes Lincoln Park 99 ... He sings it and strums his air guitar. By the way. I am reminded daily he wants a green guitar...

First Week of School

It appears the boys enjoyed their first week of school... I havent heard any complaints. Lets hope they continue that way... It sure makes me feel better knowing they enjoy their teachers.

School work is hard

I found out from Caches teacher that he had a ruff day. He put his head down on his desk and said " I dont think I like this school anymore" I felt so bad. The teacher had told him he had to write his letters before he could play... Funny kid

Granpa asked Decker about his new school. Decker told him he liked it. Then Granpa asked if there are any girls.... To my surprise Decker has a little crush.. Good thing we found out about it.. Hahah no CRUSHES until you are 29...

School Days School Days

So today was the first day of school for Decker (5th grade) and my little man Cache is in kindergarten.... They were both excited..
Cache has some very fast new shoes and a crazy cool batman back pack... I didnt get a pix as Chris took them to school for their first day. I was actually kind of glad he did. I was sad about this. Even registering Decker made me tear up....
Cache informed me that he wants a guitar.. I told him maybe for his birthday ... Cache looked at me and said. "The girls will love me if I have a guitar! " hahahha

Ok into the mind of no return;

1. I know my cube is messy but... Everything has a place and if you move something and dont put it back I get a bit mean. This includes shutting my drawers. ( and cupboards at home).



2. I really dig baseball. I kind of am sick.. I pull the standings daily just to check my teams progress. I also have to watch espn every day... I kind of have problems when my team loses, I dont watch espn on those day's.



3. I am a bit of a cross word puzzle junkie...



4. I dont like mean people.... If they are mean .. I will push their buttons just to see them get angry.... This includes nit picky people.. Dont like it much at all.



5. I like my life in order. I usually dont stress. I dont take my daily routines as serious as my kids. If my kids have issues. It really bothers me.. After all I am their mom. I am here to protect them.



6. I enjoy other people's happieness..... It really makes me happy to see my friends succeed.

I am adding one more thing...

7. I love Reece's Peanut butter cups. They have to be fresh though. If they are not, they taste like dirt and I get mad. Cookie dough ice cream. If there is not enough cookie dough I get a bit mad at that too and throw it away...

Race around the base's

Cache was chosen to race oggy around the base's. He was very excited for this. We have been putting his name in since last year.. Funny thing is. I havent put his name in at all this year. This was the first time and they chose him... He booked it. He ran so fast. It was so cute. The stadium cheered him on. He loved it.

Neglecting the blog

I am sorry to those who read up on my blog. You have pulled up the blog monthly, weekly or even dailey. To find nothing new.. Well, the stress of our knew lovely work schedule has put me a little well, I dont feel myself. I will work thru this and possibly by bloggin it may even lift my spirits. I did have a good weekend. Decker meet Tommy Lasorta. He signed a baseball for Decker. We had the employee of lindquist field take the pix. I probly should have but its still a great pix for Decker to have along with his autograph

And more baseball

Cache and I went to the Raptors game again last night... Our friend, Cache calls Tio, hit a home run. The game was tied in the 9th inning.. They went 13 inning's. Our friend Tio got on base and then the next player hit a home run. The Raptors won the game by 2 runs. To bad OREM OWL'S go hoo hoo home!!

After the game Cache wanted to go see Tio. We went down to tell him good job and Tio gave Cache his bat. It was the nicest thing. I seriously had to hold back the tears. We had him sign it. That bat will be something that Cache and actually my whole family will cheerish forever. Cache had a big huge smile on his face his eyes were big as saucers...

Hot DOGGGG

Cache and I are hanging out again. Chris and Decker are hunting bears... Cache being just a little to young to go. He stayed with me. So you ask, What have Cache and I been doing with our free time.. Yep you guessed it... We have been to the baseball games.... We have a really nice friend that sits by us. Roger, Cache and him have a special little friendship... In this pix Roger let Cache on his motorcycle.. let me tell you Cache thought he was the coolest in the world. He would have drove that thing off if Roger would have let him.. Not that he could run the gears and stuff. But Roger did start it for him and everything.. IT was cool

Glen Canyon

Chris and Decker are on a little trip of their own. Chris is scouting the area for his next hunt.. He took Decker along with him... Decker is so excited. He has never been to Glen Canyon before. I am so lucky to have Chris. He is such a good dad and husband. He is always doing something with the boys. They will remember this for life... These pix were taken with a camera phone. Hope they bring home alot more with the real camera..

4th of July

Every year we have a big family party at Chris's aunts home. It is alway so much fun.. the kids swim and after we have fire works. Decker is with the big fire work. He is having a blast setting these off. Cache we had to keep calling him back. He wanted to be like brother and go set some of his own off. That is not a good idea, yet.

New York YANKEES

I finally can check going to the Yankee game in the old stadium off my list of things I must do before I die.. This one could not wait. As the old Yankee stadium will not be standing after this year. They have built a new one..

New York was a fun trip. Chris and I went to the Statue of Liberty. That was fun to see. We didn't go out to the statue. We just took pictures from land by her.

We walked over to "ground zero".. That place was all fenced off but there were many, many tourists there to see this part of history.. It was a different feeling, different from Pearl Harbor. Pearl Harbor put a lump in my throat and goosebumps on my skin.. I literally cried when walking around the memorial... At Ground Zero, I felt such sadness. I imagined (actually saw footage) of the people literally running for their lives... I felt so much sadness. I wondered what it was like to just run from that building and run as fast as you can so you dont get hit with flying bricks or debry that could hurt you. I totally felt sadness for those that were wondering the streets looking for their missing loved ones. I am glad I could witness this. I am sad that it even happened...

Well... off to better things. We arrived plenty early for game time.. I got a picture of Jeter going in to the staidum before game time

Here is Jorge Posada!! Probly one of the best catchers. There are a few in his class of greatness.. He is just awesome.

Here I am outside of the stadium on our practice run... The trains and buses are the way of life back in New York.. So we wanted to be sure of our route. We went and looked around it was fun..
